Thank you for using SixDo. SixDo is a to-do app built around one idea: the Ivy Lee Method. You write down up to six things for the day, put them in order of importance, and work down the list.

How it works

1. On Today or Tomorrow, write down up to six things. You do not have to fill all six.
2. Drag the handle on the left of each row to put them in order of importance.
3. Work from the top, tapping the circle as you finish each one.
4. Anything left over moves to the next day automatically. You can turn that off in Settings.

Notifications

SixDo does not notify you at a fixed time regardless of what is going on. It only speaks up when it has a reason to:

Evening setup — only when tomorrow is still empty.
Morning check — only when something is still left for today.

You can turn each one off separately, change the time, and choose whether task names appear in the notification. Notifications are scheduled on your iPhone; nothing is sent through a server.

Moving to a new phone

Open Settings > Export data to save a copy of your tasks and history as a file. You can put it in Files, AirDrop it, or email it to yourself. On the new phone, use Settings > Import data and pick that file.

SixDo's data is also included in your iPhone's iCloud backup, so restoring a backup brings your tasks and history with it.

SixDo Pro

SixDo is free, with no ads. Everything about keeping to six tasks a day works without paying.

SixDo Pro is a one-time purchase — not a subscription — that adds:

Separate work and personal — six each, kept apart.
Someday — park what you cannot move on yet, with a note.
History and insights — what you finished, streaks, best days, and the work/personal split.
Weekly review — a Sunday evening note on how many you finished.
Colors — four accent colors to choose from.

If you have bought Pro before — on another phone, or after reinstalling — open the purchase screen and tap Restore purchase. It is tied to your Apple ID, so it comes back at no extra cost.

Questions

Q. Do I have to fill in all six?
A. No. One is enough. There is no need for filler.

Q. Can I change a task after adding it?
A. Yes. Tap the text of a task to edit or delete it. You can reorder at any time.

Q. How do I delete a task?
A. Tap it and choose Delete, or press and hold the task.

Q. I checked something off by mistake.
A. Tap the circle again to undo it.

Q. Does unfinished work really move to the next day?
A. Yes, and that is the point — not a failure. You can turn it off under Settings.

Q. What if tomorrow is already full?
A. Six is a hard limit. Anything that does not fit stays where it is, rather than being quietly added on top.

Q. Are there ads?
A. No. There are no ads, even in the free version.

Q. Where is my data stored?
A. Only on your iPhone. Nothing is sent anywhere. See the privacy policy.

Q. Is there an Android version?
A. Not at the moment.
