Misekago Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
Misekago - Store Shopping List ("the app") is built to respect your privacy. This policy explains what the app does, and does not do, with information.
In short: the app collects nothing and sends nothing to the developer. Your location is used only on your iPhone to tell whether you are near a store; it is never stored or sent anywhere.
1. Information we collect
None. The developer does not collect or receive any personal information — no name, email address, or phone number; no location; no device identifiers such as the IDFA; and no analytics, usage, or behavioural data. There is no account to create, no sign-in, and no analytics tools are built in. The developer runs no servers for the app.
2. Your lists and history
The stores, store locations, items, quantities, notes and photos you add, and your shopping history, are stored on your iPhone. Neither the developer nor any third party can see them.
Your history of what you bought and when is kept for one year; records older than one year are deleted automatically on your device. Deleting the app removes this data from your device.
3. Location
The app asks for location access ("Always") so it can remind you what to buy when you pass by a store you have added.
Whether you are near a store is checked with iOS region monitoring (geofencing), and this check happens entirely on your iPhone. The app does not keep a history of your location and never sends your location to the developer or anyone else.
4. Maps and store search (Apple Maps)
Showing store locations on a map and searching for stores by name use Apple's map service (MapKit). When you search by name, your search terms are sent to Apple and handled under Apple's privacy policy. The developer does not receive them.
5. Notifications
All notifications are local notifications created on your iPhone. There is no push notification server, and nothing is sent anywhere to deliver them.
6. Photos and camera
The app asks for access to your photo library and camera only so you can attach a photo to an item. Photos are resized and stored on your device, and are not sent anywhere except to your own iCloud as described below.
7. Moving to a new iPhone with iCloud
So you can move to a new iPhone, the app backs up your data once a day to your own iCloud, in a space only this app uses (you can turn this off in Settings). This storage belongs to your Apple ID; the developer has no access to it.
8. Widgets
What the Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets show is passed between the app and its widgets through an App Group (storage on your iPhone that only this app and its widgets can use). Nothing is sent off your device.
9. In-app purchase
Purchases of Misekago Pro are handled by Apple (the App Store). The developer never receives or stores your payment information. Purchases and refunds follow Apple's terms.
10. Advertising
The app shows no ads, and therefore collects no information for advertising.
11. Sharing with third parties
Because the app collects no information, there is nothing to share.
12. External links
We use Google Forms for contact. Information you enter in the form is handled under that provider's privacy policy.
13. Children's privacy
Because the app collects no information, it is safe to use at any age.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when needed. Any changes will be posted on this page.
15. Contact
For questions about this policy, please use "Settings > Contact" in the app or the contact form on the support page.
