Miokuru Support
Thank you for using Miokuru. Miokuru helps you pause before you buy and ask yourself whether you really need it. One "No" and you pass on it — and that money goes toward your goal. It is not about going without; it is about enjoying what you save.
How it works
1. Set a goal (for example, a family trip).
2. When you are thinking about buying something, add its price and name (a photo is optional).
3. Answer a few yes-or-no questions.
4. All "Yes"? It is worth it. Any "No" and you pass on it — the price is added to your goal.
5. In Records, see which questions stop you most.
Questions
Four questions are on to start with. In the Questions tab you can turn them on or off, reorder them (press and hold ≡, then slide), and write your own. Up to five can be on at a time.
Write your own questions so that "Yes" means "OK to buy".
Moving to a new iPhone
Miokuru backs up your records, photos, goals, questions and theme to your own iCloud Drive once a day, for free. When you open Miokuru on a new iPhone, it will say it found records from your old iPhone — choose "Bring them over".
iCloud Drive must be on: Settings → your name → iCloud → iCloud Drive (being signed in is not enough). You can also back up or restore by hand in "Settings > Move to a new iPhone with iCloud".
Miokuru Pro
Miokuru is free and has no ads. Theme colors, photos and iCloud transfer are free too.
Miokuru Pro is a one-time purchase (not a subscription) that adds:
Up to 3 goals (1 on the free plan)
Unlimited records (30 on the free plan)
Unlimited questions of your own (3 on the free plan)
If you bought it before (after changing phones or reinstalling), tap Restore purchase in Settings > Miokuru Pro. It is tied to your Apple ID, so there is no extra charge.
FAQ
Q. I passed on something, then bought it anyway
A. Open that record and tap "Bought it after all (undo)". The amount is taken back from your goal.
Q. I entered the wrong price or name
A. Open the record and tap "Edit". You can delete it too.
Q. Does any real money move?
A. No. The amounts are numbers the app keeps count of. It never connects to a bank or card.
Q. What happens when I reach a goal?
A. You will see "Goal reached!" and the goal moves to "Reached", where it stays for you to look back on.
Q. Are there ads?
A. No.
Q. Where is my data stored?
A. Only on your iPhone and in your own iCloud. Nothing is sent to the developer. See the privacy policy.
Q. Is there an Android version?
A. Not at the moment.
